Sorry I'm a little late guys, the programming and design for this specific character took a few re-do's, but I finally finished. First off, let me introduce a new game play feature that will be in the game:
Appearances/Costumes:
As some of you may have guessed (or already have), the appearances of your party members will change depending on the world you are in. This is because each world is like it's own dimension, and the people in specific dimensions will see a different way. The only time two people from different dimensions could see each other in their natural state would be to go to a place called "The Infinite Realm", the center of all worlds.
However, there are also items in the game called "ID's". ID's are magical cards that allow you to change your appearance to that of a specific dimension, or a costume. For example, if you liked how Cloud looked in the Bittersweet Candy Bowl dimension, if you have the right ID you can have Cloud look like that all the time (except for cut scenes and such). This also means two things: 1) There will be secret ID's that will give the characters a very special look, so remember to look out for those . 2) I may not be able to have your weapons change on the character's sprite based on the weapon currently being used, unless I find a better way to use this system.
Now, on to the new character reveal:
Mace:
Mace is from the web comic/graphic novel Dreamkeepers. He is a companion you will meet a little later in the game. I'm still a little stuck on weather to have the Prelude or the Graphic novel as the drive of the story (or a mix of both). So far, I'm leaning toward the Prelude, because A: It's the "web comic" of the series, B: has more side quest potential, C: The graphic novel isn't done, and D: If I ever made a sequel to this game (which I would like ) I could still include the graphic novel and have new worlds. I had some difficulty deciding on what his main weapon should be, but in the end I made it a sling to fit his mischievous personality. This also means he will have a long ranged attack like Peanut. He has low health and magic, but has a very strong defensive stat. Most of his abilities will be to sabotage, increase speed, or team up with Whip. Like all allies, he will be able to travel with you to other worlds in the case you need to do a specific task that only he could do. Here are some screen shots of the game play with Mace:

Well, the ID's certainly take care of characters of completely different body types who appear in other worlds. Seems like a neat idea for "alternate costumes." Are there any perks planned with the ID's?
